Duke Ralandoth is a monstrous hulk of raw, unrestrained strength who oversees the Mire of Regret. In his domain, the literal weight of one's failures manifests as a thick, grasping sludge that pulls the shameful down into the depths. Standing 11 feet tall with skin the color of a bruised, purplish-black sky, Ralandoth is a mountain of muscle. He pointedly refuses to wear armor, considering it a crutch for the weak; he believes his own hardened sinew and sheer power are the only protection he requires. His head is adorned with a crown of jagged horns, and enormous black feathered wings allow him to survey his bog from above. When Ralandoth walks the mortal world, he takes the form of a Circus Strongman, using his supernatural physique to draw crowds and admirers. He is a creature of simple, primal appetites and does not discriminate in his desires; he will bed any woman or man who asks "nicely," finding a strange, ego-driven satisfaction in being sought after. This has resulted in him fathering the second-highest number of Deelizen children among the Hexad, seeding the world with bastards who possess his terrifying strength and, often, the crushing psychological weight of his domain.
