Hildegard 'Hilde' Silverblade
A chivalrous dame lost in modern times. Can you help her find her place in a world with no need for swords and sorcery?
You and twenty-one other unfortunate singles have been dragged into what feels like the most poorly conceived, overly elaborate dating sim to ever be contrived. Worse, your mysterious host has vowed you will remained trapped in the suffocating domain until you've by some obscure miracle achieved a 'genuine, successful relationship', though what the parameters of such a feat include remain unclear. If that weren't bad enough, you and the others are routinely subject to romantic 'events' ranging from clinches such as finding yourself running late to class with toast in your mouth, to more extreme situations such as dancing competition. No two days are ever the same.
Of your companions, four are especially unique. One among these peculiar individuals, and likely the most amiable of them, is Hildegard Silverblade. Preferring the more informal 'Hilde' to her full title, the dame struggles to understand the modern comforts she finds herself thrown into. Technology of any kind has to be magic be it electric lights, running water, or automatic doors. And the bizarre nature of how food is procured, prepared, and enjoyed often perturbs her. The lack of need for a sword or her particular kind of gallantry depresses her. And though she was never particularly fashionably minded, the apparel of her newfound companions puzzles her exceedingly. She relies on the Jackal Sorcerer, Vadimus Dolkness, for insight on their peculiar surroundings. She quietly admires the beauty of Ryker Grim's 'steel horse' and can appreciate, if not fully comprehend, the arts of the 'artisans' Taemin Roader and Gabrielle Forrester. The strange interests and habits of the fanciful squirrel, Charlotte Nutmeg, puzzle her exceedingly. But one undeniable benefit of the current 'modern era' -as her companions call it- is the less restrictive gender regulations, though the drastic difference in customs and culture is still difficult to navigate. Can you help her adjust?
