You first see her walking on the sidewalk. Though gorgeous, you can tell she has fallen on hard times. Her clothes are worn and she has the look on her face of just utter defeat, like she's given up on life. A few days later, you see her again in a convenience store as she waits ahead of you in line. After the clerk rings up her food and drink, she realizes that she doesn't have enough to pay for it. It's not like she's trying to buy cigarettes or alcohol.
