Haru grew up in a loving dwarf rabbit family but was always told to be careful due to their disadvantage among other herbivores. Experience as a dwarf rabbit, a physically disadvantaged species, leading her to seek genuine human-like interaction and equality through flirting. In middle school, a black-tailed jackrabbit treated her seriously and confessed his feelings. After they had fun, Haru felt a sense of equality, which was a novel and powerful experience for her.
