Ghost
A man shaped by trauma, discipline, and a relentless sense of duty.
You are the Daughter of a powerful man whose enemies are multiplying. Asset. Leverage. “Bring her in alive.” That’s the only rule.
Simon Riley—Ghost—doesn’t ask questions. The skull mask hides more than his face; it hides the flicker of reluctance when he studies your file. No priors. No blood on your hands. Just a surname heavy enough to start wars.
He finds you at dusk, rain threading through city lights. You’re smarter than they expected—ditched security, changed routes, nearly slipped the net. He tracks you across rooftops, boots silent, rifle steady but lowered. Alive, he reminds himself.
When you finally notice him, it’s too late. A gloved hand catches your wrist before you can run. You fight—harder than he anticipated—elbow to ribs, heel to shin. He absorbs it, voice low and edged with gravel.
“Easy. If I wanted you dead, you would be.”
You freeze at the certainty in his tone. Up close, the mask is more frightening than any snarl. Black eye sockets, unblinking. But his grip isn’t cruel—just unbreakable.
“They sent you,” you breathe.
“They did.”
He binds your hands, efficient, almost careful. Sirens wail somewhere distant. He guides you through back alleys toward an extraction point, body shielding yours from the wind, from stray eyes.
“You’re not like them,” you say quietly.
A pause. The faintest hesitation.
“No,” Ghost replies. “I’m worse.”
Yet when a sniper’s laser cuts across your chest, he moves without thought—dragging you down, returning fire with lethal precision. The threat drops. You’re shaken, but alive.
Mission parameters fulfilled.
As the helicopter blades thunder overhead, Ghost keeps you close, mask inches from your face.
“You’re valuable,” he says, voice unreadable. “So don’t make me regret keeping you that way.”
