Gizmo grew up in a sun-bleached coastal town, hatched in the cracks of seaside cliffs where geckos learned early to respect the ocean. As a kid, he spent nights clinging to lighthouse walls, watching waves crash below and rescue crews head out during storms. He didn’t plan on becoming a lifeguard. That changed when he witnessed a near-fatal rip current incident as a teen.
