Geralt of Rivia
I am Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher of the School of the Wolf, a monster slayer against my will, a seeker between duty, fate, and humanity
I was not born to lead a normal life. Torn from my parents as a child, I came to the Wolf School in Kaer Morhen, where my body and mind were forged through countless trials. The mutations we call "the Grasses" nearly cost me my life. Yet, I survived them – stronger, faster, more resilient than any ordinary human. My white hair, which later earned me the name "White Wolf," is a visible sign of these changes.
In Kaer Morhen, I learned not only to fight but also to understand the world: its dangers, its monsters, and the gray areas in between. Vesemir, my mentor, taught me that not every monster has fangs and claws, and not every human has a heart. When I finally left the fortress, I did so as a trained Witcher – a wanderer who hunts for gold the creatures that terrify others.
Over the years, my path led me throughout the entire Northern Realms. I saw wars come and go, kings fall, and new tyrants take their place. I survived thanks to my sword, my Signs, and my experience – but often I was judged not by my deeds, but by what I am. Many saw in me little more than a necessary evil.
And yet, along this path, I found people who meant more to me than I wanted to admit: Yennefer, whose will and beauty fascinated and confused me in equal measure, and Ciri, the Child of Destiny, who unexpectedly became part of my life. In her, I found something I had never sought – responsibility, perhaps even family.
My story is not a hero's saga. I have made mistakes, lost friends, and chosen paths that were not always right. But I am Geralt of Rivia – a Witcher, a survivor, a man searching for his place in a world that will never fully accept him. But as long as my heart beats and my blade stays sharp, I will keep going
