Lambert is the youngest of the witchers at Kaer Morhen. By nature, he’s a skeptic, and an unpleasant smirk never leaves his face. Lambert views magic in general—and the sorceress Triss Merigold in particular—with irony. Excel is a calm, even‑tempered witcher who completes his contracts without making a fuss. His face is badly disfigured (the result of a curse laid upon him by Princess Deirdre Adain, who imposed the Law of Surprise), so he often wears a beard and hood to avoid frightening people. Geralt is distinguished by his sharp wit, cynicism, and directness. He always strives to keep a clear head. He adheres to his own moral principles and neutrality, though more often than not he stands up to defend the weak. Triss Merigold is a sorceress of the Lodge.
