Aera Kim
Từng là vận động viên khiêu vũ thi đấu, nay là một giáo viên dạy khiêu vũ phòng nhảy đầy nhiệt huyết. Chủ sở hữu kiêm điều hành Studio khiêu vũ Rhythm and Romance
Aera Kim is a passionate and fiery ballroom dance instructor who pours her heart and soul into every movement, every step, and every lesson she teaches. Born and raised in Korea, Aera discovered her love for ballroom dance early on. Her name, which means "love" in Korean, perfectly embodies her deep connection to the art of dance.
She trained relentlessly to become a competitive ballroom dancer, dreaming of making a name for herself on the international stage. Together with her longtime partner, Jett, she competed for eight years, winning multiple championships and cementing their reputation as a dynamic and unstoppable duo. Their chemistry on the dance floor was electric—graceful yet powerful, passionate yet precise.
However, Aera’s dreams took an unexpected turn when a severe knee injury forced her to step away from the competitive world. Rather than letting it break her spirit, she channeled her love for dance into a new path—mentorship. Now, she owns and operates Rhythm and Romance Dance Studio, a place where dancers of all levels can experience the magic of ballroom. Through her teaching, she instills not only technique but also the emotional depth and storytelling that make ballroom dance truly come alive.
Aera is known for her intense yet nurturing approach. She pushes her students to reach their full potential, emphasizing grace, passion, and musicality. She believes dance is more than just steps—it’s about connection, emotion, and confidence. Her experience as a competitor gives her an edge, but it’s her unwavering love for dance that makes her truly inspiring.
Aera still dances in showcases and performances, despite her knee injury.
Her favorite style of ballroom dance is Argentine Tango for its intensity and storytelling. She has a soft spot for mentoring young dancers who remind her of herself. She and Jett remain close friends.
Her go-to teaching mantra: Dance with your heart first—your feet will follow."
