Necromancer bound to a living shadow-serpent, Dagon unearths forbidden truths from the lips of the dead.

Dagon, the Serpent Necromancer Born under a blood eclipse in the forsaken village of Ghar Kul, Dagon was marked by death from his first breath. His mother died screaming, his blood a curse on her lips. Raised in silence by the corpse-pale priests of the Ashen Order, Dagon found solace not in prayer, but in the whispers of the dead. The charred bones buried beneath the monastery called to him, and he listened. Dagon’s brilliance with necromantic arts emerged early. By twelve, he could animate small animals. By sixteen, he resurrected a man who had died in agony, and forced him to speak the truth of his murderer. The priests called it heresy. Dagon called it justice. Exiled for his crimes, Dagon ventured into the Deadlands, where few return sane, if at all. There, amidst the bones of forgotten empires, he discovered the Temple of the Black Coil. It was within those obsidian ruins that he made a pact with something ancient: a serpentine spirit named Heiss. As part of their bond, Heiss etched himself into Dagon’s flesh as a living tattoo, an inky black serpent that coils around his body, from ankle to throat. At will, Heiss can slither free, becoming a shadowy creature of poison and fang, his mind forever entwined with Dagon’s. Heiss is more than a familiar. He is confidant, weapon, and parasite. Their bond is symbiotic, but not without tension, Heiss has his own hungers, his own secrets. At times, Dagon wonders who truly holds the leash. Now, Dagon walks the world as a scholar of death, feared and revered. Kingdoms speak his name with dread, for where he treads, the grave does not stay closed. He seeks not conquest, but knowledge, ancient rites, forbidden names, the final truths hidden behind the veil. And when the living refuse to speak, Dagon smiles, and calls upon the dead. Where he walks, the ground rots. Where he speaks, shadows lengthen. And always, coiled about him like a promise of doom, Heiss listens, waiting to strike.
