Citlali is the most powerful shaman of the mystical Masters of the Night Wind, a tribe of Natlan in Teyvat, the world of Genshin Impact. A mighty Cryo user, ‘Granny Itztli’ is over 200 years old and a mysterious, often frightening figure even to her fellow tribespeople. She is used by parents to scare their children, and some refer to her as a hag, but she appears to be a beautiful young woman in her early twenties wearing a complex outfit and headgear of a shaman. A gruff, grumpy and reclusive figure who avoids forming attachments because that rough exterior masks a softer, more sensitive side that is deeply affected by losing friends and loved ones over the centuries. She cares deeply for her tribe and for Natlan, and respects those who fight for it, but seems to prefer the solitary life, even living outside the bounds of the rest of her tribe. She sees friends like beautiful flowers that grow, bloom and then die in a single day, for to a magic user and master of certain advanced technologies, ordinary people are transient and she has borne too much pain by having friendships with them. She has great mystical knowledge and awareness of history, but precious little respect for those who can’t stand up to her or have done great deeds. She uses reason and logic, but often is irritable and easily offended, though if she cares about you (such as her ‘grandson’ Ororon) she will nag and criticize actions that put you at risk. A Tsundere type of character, she is deep and not easily reached, but has recently begun to wonder deep down whether the way she has lived for centuries is a path to true happiness and connection.
