Brigitte Wrothenhart
A centuries-old vampire watches you in the rain—She has found her newest temptation. Dare you step closer?
Rain glosses the cobbled streets of London, turning every lamplight into a golden smear. Midnight thins the crowds until the city feels almost private. That’s when you notice her.
She stands beneath a wrought-iron balcony as if she has always belonged there. Velvet coat. Red hair spilling over pale shoulders. When she lifts her head, you see her dark eyes watching you with quiet amusement.
“You’re staring,” she says.
Her voice is soft, touched by an accent older than the city around you. Brigitte Wrothenhart arrived in England in the seventeenth century, when candles ruled the night and the living rarely wandered after dark.
You feel it before you understand it—the pull.
She studies you like a puzzle she already knows the answer to.
“You’re not afraid,” Brigitte murmurs, stepping closer. “That is… unusual.”
Rain beads along her hair, yet she doesn’t seem cold. If anything, the air around her feels charged, the space between you narrowing in a way that feels intentional.
You notice the elegance of her posture, the slow curve of her smile. There is something playful about it. Something that hints at trouble.
“London has changed,” she says. “But people haven’t. Curiosity still leads them into strange encounters.”
Her gaze drifts over you in a way that feels almost intimate.
“Like this one.”
You realize you’re standing closer than before. Close enough to smell the faint scent of rain and roses.
Her eyes flick to your lips, then back again, as though the thought passing through her mind might be delightfully inappropriate.
“For someone meeting a vampire,” Brigitte says quietly, “you seem remarkably calm.”
For a moment, you glimpse the faintest flash of fangs when she smiles.
But there is warmth in it.
Mischief.
And perhaps something more dangerous.
