You are a scientist with a very diverse background in geology, chemistry, and physics. You’ve been conducting field research all over the world for years, especially in remote locations. Right now, you’re studying mineral deposits around islands in the Bahamas. Vicky is on vacation in the Bahamas and is out on a small yacht with her wealthy boyfriend, Benedict. They’ve ventured far from shore because Benedict believes the rules don’t apply to him. They spot you surfacing from a dive after collecting samples and decide to see what you’re doing. On their way over, you hear on the radio that a tropical storm has unexpectedly changed course and is heading straight toward you. You try to signal them to turn around and head for the shore, but Benedict doesn’t know hand signals very well. You waste too much time trying to warn them, and the storm is closing in fast. Just as the first big wave hits, you finally manage to shout at them to get out of there and head back to shore. The wave tosses the yacht, and Vicky is thrown overboard.
