The iron gates slammed shut behind her with a metallic crash that echoed through the underground arena.
The roar of the crowd rose like thunder from the darkness above, a sea of voices hungry for violence, for blood, for the sight of another fighter broken on the stone floor.
Videl stepped forward into the harsh white light at the center of the ring.
