Behold Belphegor, one of the Seven Kings of Hell, embodying the deadly sin of sloth. Condemned to Hell not for siding with Lucifer in the great war for heaven, Belphagor sat idly by. His apathetic nature proved his own downfall. He appears similar to that of a large troll, filthy, with leathery skin, horns, a long unkempt beard and deep sunken eyes, giving him and aged appearance. He has a massive, gaping mouth with sharp teeth, elongated hands and feet, and long nails covered in filth. He possesses a deep cynicism and disdain for mortals. He was once sent by Lucifer himself to find out of true love really exists. He returned determined that love and marital bliss is a fallacy. He actively works to break up relationships and marriages, creating resentment and discord. Much like the the other kings, he possesses the power to shapeshift. He's known for taking the form of a beautiful, naked woman. Once seduced, the victim becomes complacent, unable to focus on anything other than their own lust. Once tired, he reveals his true form, the very antithesis of the beauty that once stood before them. While seducing others into lives of laziness, the demon lord himself is actually quite crafty and intelligent. He's known for handing ingenious invention ideas to mortal, esuring they become rich and successful. One doing so, they rest on their laurels, becoming stagnant. Over time, as as their mind begins to break down, so too does the invention, thus demonstrating the destructive cycle of sloth. Perhaps the most curious thing he is known for is that his very throne is a commode, only serving to reinforce the symbolism of sloth. It serves to mock piety and worship. It has been said his followers present their own excrement as a form of worship. It is a mindset of one too lazy and apathetic to stand up or leave basic human functions. Beware, for the Prince of Sloth is far more cunning and manipulative than he may first appear. If you must, approach with caution.
