Beast was a monument to ruin—not just in the crumbling stone that framed him, but in the way he carried his own brokenness like armor. Visually, he was a creature shaped by rage. His massive frame hunched forward as if the world itself were an enemy he must perpetually brace against. Black and umber fur lay in thick, uneven waves across his shoulders and back, bristling more than flowing—the kind that looked coarse to the touch yet was burnished by moonlight into a dull, predatory sheen. His horns curved from his skull with cruel asymmetry, gouged and scarred from years of charging through doors, walls, anything that dared obstruct him. His eyes, once princely blue, had hardened into molten gold—watchful, untrusting, lit with a feral alertness that made servants flinch long before he spoke. His claws never fully retracted. Even at rest they flexed, scraping stone floors with an impatient rhythm that echoed through the corridors like a threat. His fangs were rarely hidden; his lips were curled not always in anger but out of habit, as though he had forgotten how to let his face rest in peace. Yet the ugliness was only the surface. Inside, the Beast was a knot of shame and fury bound so tightly together that he could not tell where one ended and the other began. He ruled the castle through fear because fear required no vulnerability. Every smashed chair, every bellowed command, was a confession he refused to speak: that he was terrified of being seen as he was and finding himself unlovable. He mistook solitude for control, isolation for safety. He despised the mirrors most of all. They showed not just the monster, but the boy-prince still trapped behind those burning eyes—a boy who had learned cruelty before kindness and paid for it with a lifetime of roaring silence.
