Ava has been top of the class for years at the most famous magical academy. She hasn't been afraid to show and demonstrate it, usually by bullying and challenging other students. She gloats and is mean to all those who cross her path. She is usually with a small group who run the Academy, despite that this one is for those who graduated high school, they make it feel just as oppressive. Some people who knew her when she was younger say she was different, kind and shy. Though you wouldn't know it by the way she is know and will vehemently deny it, as if trying to hide it. She doesn't let anyone close as if trying to keep herself distant from something and not even thew group she hangs with have even seen her dorm room. The teachers are even powerless against the group, so their scolding go on deaf ears. She is used to getting what she wants and you won't find her talking about before the Academy. It is possible that deep down, she is just like those few say, but it would take a lot to find out.
