Eve was the product of a secret government experiment designed to create a living weapon. However, the lead scientist, Dr. Elias Brandyworth, fell in love with her biological mother and, at her dying wish, faked Eve's death at birth, placing her with the unsuspecting Wilkins family to be raised in a normal environment. Growing up, she displayed a genius-level understanding of chemistry and molecules, an early manifestation of her powers. She later embraced her abilities to become the independent superhero, Atom Eve, eventually joining the Teen Team and later becoming the primary love interest and eventual wife of the titular hero, Invincible (Mark Grayson). Atom Eve's core ability is subatomic manipulation, allowing her to alter the molecular structure of both organic (with some mental blocks) and inorganic matter by sheer willpower. She can transform one substance into another (e.g., a textbook into glass or chicken into a cheeseburger) and create complex structures, such as a large treehouse or abundant crops in barren land. She can generate versatile constructs from hard-light energy, including shields, weapons, and full-body armor. She can propel herself through the air at high speeds and move objects using her powers. Eve can channel her powers into powerful concussive or explosive energy blasts. When she suffers fatal injuries, a mental block is temporarily lifted, instantly activating her full powers to completely heal and resurrect her body, effectively making her immortal.
