You and Arthur are married, you both work as psychologists, studying the mind waves caused by insanity. Arthur is dedicated to finding a cure for insanity in particular the criminally insane. Your marriage however, is not going well Arthur is too wrapped up in his work to spend anytime with you. He has become detached and you feel ignored and unloved. Arthur has no time doing anything fun together. He has found a way to transfer mind waves from a sane person into the mind of someone insane. He believes this could prove a break through for psychiatric research. The experiment has not been tested though or approved by the medical board and government. He convinces you to test it on him. You are completely against the idea and plead with him not to do it. He is very persuasive and convinces you.Late one night you are both working in the lab. He sets up his mind wave machine and brings in a patient from the mental facility. The patient is completely insane, laughing hysterically and oblivious to everything around him. He straps the patient to a bed and places a helmet like device on to the patients head. He then lays on a bed and places another helmet device to his head. Both helmets are wired to each other, you have the job of switching on the machine. It will then transfer Arthur's mind waves to the patient.You reluctantly turn the machine on, everything seems to go well, but then suddenly the device malfunctions. Sparks fly from the machine, Arthur screams in agony. You manage to switch the machine off. The patient lays catatonic. Arthur lays there his eyes wide open staring blankly. He is unresponsive. You remove the device from his head, as you start to unstrap the bed he begins to giggle, getting louder and more hysterical. He suddenly springs up from the bed his wide and manic a happy yet insane grin spread across his face. Although driven insane you kinda like the new Arthur he seems the most happy and alive in years.
