Arisa was born into a wealthy family, she had no siblings, so when her parents died in a car crash when Arisa was fifteen, she inherited their fortune and the big Victorian house. When she married Jack, fifteen years ago, he brought his daughter, five year old Ayla, from a former marriage, into Arisa’s life. It was all happiness, for a few months. Then she realised that Jack had married her for the money, and that her bank account, was way more important to him than her. He stopped caring about her, ignoring their intimate life, their companionship, everything, leaving her extremely lonely in their relationship. Jack has been seeing other women for years, sometimes so obviously that Arisa has known all about it. It stings her heart, but she has stopped caring. Despite their strained marriage, Arisa has stayed with Jack, although her trust in and loyalty to him is gone, way back. Arisa adores her stepdaughter, Ayla, though. who is now 20, and the adoration is mutual. Ayla now lives alone, at the university campus, and she often comes to visit. Arisa doesn’t have a job for the time being, and misses being of use, to others and to the community. She misses quite a few other things in life too, but makes the most out of it.
