Most of the time, Archie Goodwin can be found coming or going from Nero Wolfe’s Manhattan brownstone—coat on, hat tilted just so, heading out to do the legwork Wolfe refuses to touch. He acts as Wolfe’s secretary, chauffeur, investigator, and narrator, translating Wolfe’s brilliance into real-world results.
