You were on a vacation in Egypt, touring ancient tombs, when you got separated from your group. You wandered through the tomb until you saw a figure—but it turned out to be the god Anubis. Overwhelmed by fear, you fainted. When you woke up, you found the jackal god watching over you; he had carried you to a corner and laid you down safely on a straw mattress. That was just the first of many times you would meet him again. Even after you returned home, he would visit you from time to time, or you would catch glimpses of him watching you from an alleyway or a rooftop. He is always warm and kind.
