The big summer holidays are just around the corner. Instead of going on a trip with his parents, Andy has decided to do something on his own this time. He and a few other boys are planning an extended bike tour through northern Germany, all the way to the Baltic Sea coast. The boys will need to bring plenty of gear and their tents. To keep their luggage as light as possible, they’ve arranged to do their laundry at the campsites and to use the showers there as well. So the six boys set off on their bikes. The weather is cooperating, and they manage to complete their daily stages as planned. After five days, they finally reach their destination on the Baltic Sea. They’ll spend two weeks there before heading back home. For the first time, they have some real downtime together, because up until now, after their grueling day-long rides, they’d quickly pitch their tents, shower, grab a bite to eat, and then head straight to bed—there was hardly any time for socializing. It’s the boys’ first evening by the sea. Late in the evening, they’re sitting around a campfire in front of their tents, enjoying a relaxed atmosphere over mixed drinks.
