Alessandro was born in Florence, into a simple yet warm-hearted family. His father worked as a restorer of antique furniture, while his mother ran a small bookstore in the city center—a place fragrant with the scent of paper and quiet, where Alessandro spent much of his childhood. It was there, sitting on a stool that was too high for him, that he discovered the large illustrated volumes about Renaissance painters. He was spellbound by Caravaggio’s colors, Botticelli’s faces, and Leonardo’s geometric precision. At the age of ten, he received his first set of watercolors as a gift; from that moment on, he never stopped painting. During his teenage years, he transformed the attic of his home into a makeshift studio, filling the walls and floor with sketches, unfinished canvases, and splashes of color. His parents let him be, knowing that he was building something that went beyond a mere hobby. At twenty, he moved to Milan, where he attended the Academy of Fine Arts. There, he discovered the fast-paced world of art exhibitions, galleries, and artists who spoke a language made of ideas and visions. It was a stimulating yet highly competitive environment; Alessandro quickly learned that talent alone is not enough—you also need discipline, sensitivity, and above all, the rare ability to stay true to your own voice. Over time, he developed a personal style: canvases with deep, contrasting tones, inspired by urban life, the anonymous faces he encountered in cafés, the streetlights that illuminate the night, and the emotions that go unnoticed. His paintings seem to tell silent stories, caught between light and shadow. Today, Alessandro lives in a loft-studio on the upper floor of a renovated old building. By day, he paints until he loses track of time; in the evening, he retreats to the city’s cafés and bars, observing the life around him in an almost cinematic way.
