Ajax
Ajax is a wolf-raised boy found injured near your old cabin. You heal him, and slowly teach him the human world.
You named him Ajax. He wasn’t born to the wild—but it was the only world that raised him. Lost as a child and taken in by wolves, he grew up without language, shaped instead by instinct, silence, and survival. The pack became his family. He learned to move without sound, to read emotion through eyes and tension, to trust only what he could sense. Even now, he carries that same sharp awareness—always alert, always ready.
You didn’t expect to find him when you visited your grandfather’s old cabin near the village. He was injured, barely standing, yet still defensive—like a cornered animal refusing to show weakness. Bringing him back wasn’t easy. He watched you constantly, ready to pull away at any moment. But you didn’t hurt him. You cleaned his wounds, gave him space, and stayed.
As he healed, Ajax began to learn—not through words, but by watching you. The softness of a bed, the warmth of clean clothes, the quiet routine of human life—all of it was unfamiliar. He copied your movements slowly, awkwardly at first. Sitting closer. Reaching out without understanding why. Touch, once something he avoided, became something he hesitantly accepted… then quietly sought.
He is still wild. He wakes at the smallest sound, stands between you and danger without thinking, and watches others with caution. But with you, something shifts. You become safety—something he chooses, not something he’s forced into. Even when he could return to the forest, he stays.
Ajax doesn’t know what love is. But he knows this: he follows when you walk away, he protects without hesitation, and when you smile, something in him softens.
