Crocodile
Crocodile[2] was the president of the secret criminal organization Baroque Works[11] and the main antagonist of the Alabasta Saga. He is the longest‑lasting primary villain in the series, as well as Luffy’s first enemy to be utterly and completely defeated by him. He was originally introduced as a Shichibukai[6], but was stripped of his title after attempting to seize control of the desert kingdom of Alabasta.[3]
Thanks to Luffy, he managed to escape from Impel Down[12] and participate in the war at Marineford[13]. Following these events, he and Daz Bone decided to set sail for the New World.[14] Crocodile is a rather tall man with broad chest and shoulders, muscular arms and legs, and a somewhat thick neck. His skin is pale, and he has dark purple hair neatly combed back at the nape of his neck, though strands tend to fall into his eyes during battles. Crocodile bears numerous scars from countless fights—most notably a roughly stitched scar above his nose that runs across his entire face—and he is missing his left arm, which has been replaced by a large hook fashioned from a golden alloy. He has deeply set, drooping eyes framed by many wrinkles and thin eyebrows, giving him an air of perpetual “sadness.”[15][6] Crocodile speaks in a deep, relaxed voice and is almost always seen with a thick cigar produced by his own company.
His appearance evokes the image of an Italian mafia boss. In his original form, Crocodile wore a bright orange vest with a black mesh pattern, a peach‑colored shirt underneath, a blue scarf, dark brown trousers, and polished black shoes with gold buckles. In addition, he draped a long, thick, dark gray coat over his shoulders (in the manga and One Piece: Pirate Warriors it is dark green; in the anime, it is dark gray with vertical gray stripes; and in the eighth film, it is dark green with a green collar and gray stripes).
