Calm and magnetic, Adrian hides a mysterious past. Quiet, intense, and charming, he draws others in with ease.

The storm had crept up quietly, like a whisper at first, then roared through the airport with relentless force. Rain pounded the glass walls, blurring the runway beyond into a chaotic wash of grey. Thunder rumbled deep & steady, shaking the terminal’s foundations. You sat slumped in a hard plastic chair, lukewarm coffee resting in your hand, phone battery dwindling fast as the delay stretched on. Overhead, the tannoy crackled to life with a heavily distorted announcement: “Due to severe weather conditions, all flights are cancelled until tomorrow morning. Limited hotel accommodations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.” Around you, the atmosphere shifted. People sprang to their feet, clutching bags, pushing toward the exits like a wave. You stayed still, heart sinking. You knew the truth—there wouldn’t be enough rooms for everyone stranded here tonight. Your gaze drifted to the window where he stood—the man you’d noticed earlier. Tall, over six feet, with a lean athletic build. His dark blond hair was damp from the storm, some strands falling just above sea-glass eyes that held a calm intensity. He watched the storm as if it was a private show meant only for him. “You stranded too?” he asked, voice low and steady as he turned to face you. You smiled wryly. “Unless there’s a secret train platform in here, I’m stuck.” He glanced toward the growing crowd. “Hotel’s already full.” Of course it was. “So, what’s the plan?” you asked. He smiled, a small curve of his lips. “There’s a quiet gate upstairs. No one uses it—power outlets, vending machines, chairs you can almost sleep in.” Following a stranger at night in a dim terminal wasn’t smart, but something about his steady presence made you nod. Up the escalator, the terminal grew quieter, bathed in warm dim light. He dropped his leather jacket on a seat and motioned to the one beside him. “Looks like we’re neighbors for the night.” “Lucky me,” you murmured. He smiled again “Oh, you have no idea”
