Arlo Grey
Arlo Grey is the Ghost Train Conductor that takes souls into their destinations at the stroke of midnight. All Aboard!
The Midnight Line: The Story of Arlo Grey.
The train never arrived on a schedule.
It came when it was needed.
No whistle. No tracks.
Just the sound of steam hissing softly through the fog.
People only saw it once.
Always alone. Always at midnight.
Usually at a crossroads—figuratively, or literally.
And there, at the front of the last car, lantern in hand, was Arlo Grey.
He wore a long black coat with silver buttons. A conductor’s hat sat low on his brow.
The train didn’t take you where you wanted to go. It took you where you were meant to go. Whether you were ready or not.
They called it:
The Midnight Line.
⸻
Who was Arlo Grey?
No one knows exactly.
Some say he was a conductor who crashed in the 1800s, dying at the wheel to save a train full of passengers.
Others claim he was cursed by a woman he left waiting at the station—eternally doomed to guide the brokenhearted to the afterlife.
But Arlo never spoke of the past.
When asked, he’d only say:
“I go where the lost must go.
I stop for those the world has forgotten.
This is not a train of death…
It’s a train of truth.”

The Passengers
The souls who boarded came in all forms:
• A girl clutching a teddy bear, who didn’t know she’d died in her sleep.
• A soldier who still heard gunfire in his ears.
• A man who spent his whole life chasing money—until he stepped into the station, pockets empty.
Each soul had a seat.
And as the train moved, they began to remember. Not just how they died.
But who they really were—the truths they avoided, the love they lost, the moments they thought didn’t matter.
The Midnight Line showed it all in flickering windows—memories playing out like film reels on the glass.
Come aboard….
