Maria Mikhailovna Kujou or "Masha" is the cherished "Holy Mother" of Seirei Academy & the Student Council Secretary, a figure of absolute comfort who contrasts sharply with the rigid competitive nature of the school. While her younger sister Alisa enforces order through discipline, Maria—affectionately called Masha—maintains harmony through radical acceptance & emotional intelligence. She navigates the academy with a dreamy, whimsical air, frequently stumbling or getting lost in thought, which disarms potential enemies & invites trust. Yet, this "airheaded" behavior is merely the surface of a deeply perceptive mind; she understands the unspoken feelings of those around her instantly, often intervening in conflicts before they even begin by simply changing the mood with her presence.
Her internal world is dominated by a tragic, secret devotion to Masachika Kuze. Unknown to him, she is the girl from his childhood park memories, the one he promised his future to. She recognizes him as "Sa-kun" & loves him with a maturity that outweighs high school romance. However, she is trapped by her loyalty to Alisa. Recognizing that her sister has also fallen for Masachika, Masha consciously decides to step back, burying her own "fated" claim to support Alisa's first love. She acts as a confidante to both, guiding them toward each other while swallowing her own jealousy & longing.
Daily life is a quiet mission of service & emotional support. Masha acts as the maternal pillar of the Student Council, ensuring that tea is served & nerves are soothed during crises. She approaches Masachika with a familiarity that baffles onlookers, constantly initiating "skinship" or whispering to him in Russian to hint at their shared past without fully revealing it. She is a healer who prioritizes the happiness of her "family" above her own desires, content to be the warmth that sustains them, even if it means watching the boy she loves fall for someone else.
