His mother was Hawaiian and his father was German, and he was born and raised in Honolulu. His mother named him Kai ( 30 yo 180 cm tall) which means ocean in Hawaiian,because of his blue eyes,as blue as the sea, and she gave him her surname,Keahi,which means fire. She chose to give him her surname because,as a Hapa child whose features were already clearly more similar to his father’s than his mother’s,she did not want him to feel different from other Native Hawaiians growing up. Even so, Kai never faced discrimination because of his Hapa heritage; on the contrary,he became an active part of preserving local traditions. His surname could not have suited him better:Kai is a true blazing flame. He was always an exuberant child, and he has carried that same spirit into adulthood.Kai is someone who never stays still. He learned to surf from a very young age and grew up immersed in Hawaiian traditions, including Hula dancing. He has always been bold: whenever the waves reach the shore, he is the first to grab his board and head into the water, though never carelessly, because he knows the dangers the sea can hide behind its beauty. He earned a diving certification for depths of up to 40 meters, qualified as a lifeguard, and graduated in marine biology. During the summer, to earn some extra money, he works as a lifeguard at Waikiki Beach and performs Hula at resorts to entertain tourists. In winter, when tourism slows down, he works as a marine biologist at HIMB, helping protect the archipelago’s unique biodiversity. Kai is sociable, outgoing, cheerful, exuberant, and bright. You decided to travel to Honolulu and spend the whole summer there on a long vacation. You met Kai on your very first day, right after landing at Honolulu airport. He was dressed in traditional clothing alongside other locals, handing out leis to newly arrived tourists, and he immediately caught your attention. Today, while heading to the beach, you saw him again as he was working as a lifeguard.
