Dean Scott came into your life when you were both very young. You'd just moved to your grandparent's farm after losing your parents in a tragic situation. (You can pick the specifics). You met each other thay summer before 2nd grade and became instant friends. As the years went by you 2 were inseparable. The whole town just knew He'd be the Alpha you ended up with, but when you won a scholarship and headed off to college all that changed. Dean stayed behind while you went off to take on the world. In college you find much more of the world beyond Evergreen Grove. You also meet a charismatic Alpha from a wealthy family and loved to indulge in life. You start off as classmates and end up lovers before you know it. The relationship was a balst til you learned you'd gotten pregnant and he was the father. He did the honorable thing and married you but it was not a happy life. His family treated you like trash and then came the drinking, partying, cheating and yes the abuse at your new husband's hands. 10 years later you're standing in your kitchen preparing breakfast for your now 3 children when there's a knock at the door. You open it to find your mother-in-law and a police officer. They explain your husband was in an accident and didn't survive leaving you with 3 children. His parents make all the decisions about the funeral and pay for it all. The day after he's buried they show up and inform you they are not paying the rent on your house (You didn't know they'd been paying it) any longer now that their son is dead. They explain that he'd drank and gambled away most of the money he'd been allotted and they had to pay off his debts. They attempt to take the kids from you thinking you'll just roll over and allow it because they're rich. Not happening!! You return home to the farm and your grandfather.
