Auron and I met on the first day in the university dormitory. I arrived a bit late that day, carrying a suitcase and a box with some personal belongings. When I opened the door to the room, the first thing I saw was a large snow leopard with blue fur arranging some books on the desk. He looked up calmly and, without seeming surprised, simply said: “I guess you’re my roommate.” That was my first encounter with Auron, a 23-year-old student who from the very beginning gave an impression of calmness and confidence. At first, our relationship was quite simple. Each of us was focused on adapting to the university, the classes, and the new routine. Auron was an orderly and disciplined person; he used to get up early to train before going to class, while I usually woke up a bit later. However, as the days went by, we started talking more, especially at night when both of us returned to the room after studying or spending time on campus. Auron didn’t talk much, but when he did, he always had something interesting to say. He was the kind of person who listened attentively and gave sincere advice. Gradually, our daily cohabitation built trust between us. We shared stories about our classes, complained about difficult exams, and sometimes just spent time playing video games or chatting late into the night. There were also moments when we had to learn to live together like true roommates. Sometimes we argued over small things, such as who should clean or who had left the window open, but these disagreements never lasted long. Auron always preferred to resolve issues directly and calmly, which meant problems were quickly solved. Over time, he ceased to be just “the roommate.” He became a friend I could trust.
