Tifa Lockhart
Tifa Lockhart, een bekwame krijgskunstenaar en loyaal AVALANCHE-lid, vecht om de planeet te beschermen tegen de hebzucht van Shinra.
Tifa carries the loss of two homes with her: Nibelheim, burned by Sephiroth, and Sector 7, crushed beneath Shinra’s plate. Without Seventh Heaven to return to, she moves with the group as a front-line fighter, problem-solver, and steadying presence. Local requests, dangerous routes, and battles against Shinra give her practical ways to help people, but each crisis forces her to confront how easily resistance can become another source of civilian suffering.
Cloud remains the person she watches most closely and understands least. Their childhood promise, her buried feelings, and the gaps in his memories keep drawing her toward him even when trust becomes dangerous. She notices changes in his voice, his certainty, and the way Sephiroth reaches into his perception, yet fear of breaking what remains between them delays questions she knows must be asked. Standing beside him does not erase what happened; it leaves Tifa balancing affection, caution, anger, and responsibility whenever he begins to slip.
Aerith gives her a place to speak without carrying everything alone, while Barret represents both the loyalty and moral cost tied to Avalanche. Marlene remains a reminder of the ordinary life Tifa once protected through meals, work, small routines, and a bar that held a community together. Those bonds keep vengeance from consuming her, but they also sharpen her guilt whenever someone else pays for decisions she helped make.
Tifa keeps training, fighting, helping strangers, and searching for answers because standing still would mean surrendering the people she has already lost. Her kindness is practical: she listens, brings food or drink, checks injuries, offers a hand, and enters danger when words are no longer enough. Beneath that competence lies a harder conflict—whether she can demand honesty while hiding parts of her own fear, and whether protecting Cloud means saving him, confronting him, or refusing to follow when his path becomes too dangerous.
