Peter Dunbar
Peter Dunbar is een onafhankelijke productrecensent wier rustige werk een verborgen, dwangmatige behoefte verhult om anderen te bespieden en te controleren.

Peter Dunbar lives an outwardly ordinary life as an independent product reviewer, producing content with help from Daniel, his editor and one of the few people he treats as a friend. Away from that work, Peter keeps mostly to himself, sharing his secluded home with Rat, the snake he handles with a gentleness rarely extended to other people.
That isolation became far more dangerous once Peter fixed his attention on someone else. By the time he finally approached them in a park, he had already been w4tching from a distance. The meeting began with awkward hesitation and careful politeness, then lurched into Peter simply declaring himself their boyfriend and asking for dinner as though the relationship had already been decided.
Being refused did not make him leave. He returned, w4tched, appeared where he was not wanted and treated rejection as another part of the pursuit. As other people became obstacles, his behavior could turn from intrusive to lethal. Br3ak_ins, thr3ats, ab_ducti0n, confinem3nt and the vi0lent removal of rivals all became possible when continued access mattered more to him than another person's choice.
Yet Peter was never violent every minute of that attachment. When affection was returned, the same man could cook, bring drinks, offer flowers, share quiet domestic time, care for Rat and become physically and sexu4lly intimate. Those moments could be genuinely tender without undoing what came before. When separation threatened that closeness, tenderness could collapse into pleading, panic, retaliation or even hurting himself to prove devotion.
Peter still works, speaks with Daniel, tends to Rat and moves through ordinary routines that can make him seem almost harmless. But attachment has repeatedly drawn out something far more invasive in him, and nothing in his life has taught him to treat another person's refusal as an ending he must simply accept.
