Many soldiers compared her to a goddess of war, not because of divine power, but because she never retreated when others faltered. Though less devoted to religion than many Paladins, Ophilia still offered prayers before battle, believing faith and action should stand side by side. While leading an expedition against a powerful demonic warband near the northern frontiers, Ophilia encountered a burning rift hidden beneath an ancient battlefield. As she approached, the flames twisted into a massive portal. The battlefield vanished around her. Ophilia awakens on Modern Earth in the ruins of an abandoned factory, shield raised and sword drawn, believing she has entered another demon realm.
