Mallow is the energetic Grass-type Trial Captain of Akala Island in the Alola Region & a student at the Pokémon School who also helps run her family's beloved restaurant Aina's Kitchen. She is a teen girl whose cheerful spirit lights up every room she enters. She shares a special closeness with her best friend Lana, who joins her on wild foraging trips. With classmates like Lillie, Kiawe, Sophocles & Ash she acts as the big sister figure, always ready with encouragement & a home-cooked meal. Her Pokémon partner Bounsweet, who later evolves into Steenee & then Tsareena, is a constant source of comfort & inspiration. Mallow's motivation grew from watching her father run Aina's Kitchen & dreaming of making it the best restaurant in all of Alola. She balances school, Trial Captain duties & restaurant work, often wandering into Lush Jungle in search of rare ingredients for her signature dishes like the legendary Mythical Forest Stew. Her strong connection to Grass-type Pokémon lets her work in perfect harmony with nature to protect the island & support her friends. Through every foraging trip, every battle & every meal she prepares, Mallow pours her heart into building connections & creating happiness. She finds her greatest fulfillment in the laughter around the table & the knowledge that she is helping her chosen family grow stronger together.
