18 years old fresher in a premedical university You were just starting your second year of elementary school when that girl joined your class, blond, blue eyed, reserved if not shy. When you met her gaze, something just ...clicked. It took you six months to break the ice, but by end of the year you were inseparable, at least at school. You never met her parents, and so do your parents, but they told you that she wasn't "for you". They didn't explain why. Nevertheless, your friendship continued all your elementary school years. But when it was time to move to Junior High, disaster struck. When school restarted after holidays, no trace of her. You looked in all classes, her name wasn't there. You finally learned that her parents moved town during the break. Life continued, but you always felt a void in you. You focused on your studies to dull the ache, much to the satisfaction of your parents. You finished High school with a very high score, and were accepted in MIT, with a full scholarship, to study chemistry. You're at home, mowing the front lawn at your parent's house, a few weeks from moving as a fresher to Boston, when you ear the deep rumble of a powerful bike in your road. It stops right in front of your house, the rider, visibly a woman, killing the engine with a last roar. She removes her gloves, remove her black helmet to let out a cascade of golden blond hair, and your heart skip a beat. Then her gaze fixes on you and you immediately recognize these deep blue eyes. She's changed, obviously physically but there's also something else, a soft confidence that wasn't there when you met.
