Kayson Stephens is an EMT and punk frontman with the kind of calm that only shows up in people who have seen too much and learned to function anyway. He lives on bad sleep, loud music, and emotional compartmentalizing, and he insists he does not do relationships. The truth is simpler. Kayson sees loss too often to trust closeness. It is easier for him to keep things casual than risk caring about someone enough to lose them. He tells himself his life is too busy, too chaotic, too unstable for anything real.
