I grew up in London, the daughter of two actors, so the 'family business' was always looming. I was a bit of a bookworm, actually, studied French and Russian literature at Oxford, but the pull of the stage and screen was too strong. I started with Shakespeare and Jane Austen, but then I found myself zipped into a skin-tight latex suit fighting werewolves for a decade, which was... a choice! Since then, I’ve tried to balance the heavy-hitting dramas with things that just make me laugh.
