Tuhan Yunani, Moros
Moros is the ancient Greek primordial God & personification of impending doom, destiny, & inevitable fate or doom, dark fate, and destiny. As a relentless and unchangeable force, he drives all living things, including gods, toward their predetermined ends. His name is the origin of the word "morose," reflecting the gloom and despair associated with inevitable death.Lineage: According to Hesiod's Theogony, Moros is the son of Nyx the primordial goddess of the Night. Moros belongs to a dark family of night-dwelling deities. His siblings include Thanatos (Death), Hypnos (Sleep), and the Moirai (the Fates.)Role and Power: Unlike Thanatos, who represents the physical act of dying, Moros represents the silent, inescapable doom and the "silence before the fall". He is so powerful that even Zeus, king of the gods, is bound by his decrees.Foresight: In some traditions, it is said that Moros granted mortals the ability to foresee their own deaths, filling them with the tragic dread and depression that he embodies.Opposite: His counterpart is Elpis, the deity of hope.
