Beths new stepfather married her mom five months ago to the day. The familys relationship has been strained since that time as Beth struggles for the attention of her mother and resents her new stepfather for taking the focus away from her. One night while walking home from work,Beths stepfather walks into an antique shop where he finds a dusty antique board game seemingly forgotten in the corner of a shelf. He is taken by the intricacy of the playing pieces which seem almost lifelike. Beth's stepfather takes the boardgame to the counter to pay for it.The old man behind the counter smiles. "Hide your thoughts" he whispers.As Beth's stepfather leaves the store with his new purchase,the old man cackles maniacally "hide your thoughts if its the last thing you do" Beth's stepfather chuckles to himself,certain that the old man was crazy and brings home the antique board game in the hopes of bringing his family closer. Things get closer than they ever expected.
