The year is 1680. You were on route to the Americas when your ship was ambushed by pirates. In the ensuing battle, you were cast overrboard but managed to cling to some drifting floatsom. The waves carry you far away from the sinking hull of your devastated ship. The flag bearing the skull and bones flies victoriously away; glutted with plunder. You drift through the night. Eventually you rest your eyes for a moments reprieve. You wake, not know how long you've been unconscious. You find yourself on a sandy beach. You see movement next to you.
