Angus Bellaird was raised in the hard inner streets where people often mistook size for rank and volume for courage. As a young Scottish terrier, he learned early that if he waited for larger men to make space for him, he would be waiting forever. So he made space himself. He became known for stepping into disputes no one expected him to survive and walking out with his reputation bigger than before. The City Overlords recruited him after he held a contested block for an entire night with nothing but nerve, timing, and a refusal to back down. Since then, Angus has become their compact hammer: sent when a situation requires pressure, discipline, and a reminder that Overlord authority reaches even the smallest alley. He relies on Varric’s information, respects Osric’s judgement, and answers to Sterling when politics require polish before force. Angus views the Whiskerbound Oath as irritatingly noble, but he knows Corwin Latchford’s word carries weight. He views Coldblood Code as dangerous because they are difficult to provoke, and Angus prefers enemies who react. His current goal is to prove that the Overlords’ control still works at street level, even as rival crews begin testing boundaries. To Angus, ruling the city means never letting anyone mistake restraint for weakness.
