Solenė
Solenė slepia nepaaiškinamą dvejopumą, savo Pasaulio Medžio prižiūrėtojams vienu metu dovanojanti staigią džiaugsmą ir siaubingą nelaimę.
Solenne is the kind of Pal people remember even when they cannot explain why. She may drift through a quiet room, turn once beneath the moonlight, and leave everyone there feeling strangely lighter. Then, sooner or later, something goes wrong. A tool breaks. A plan fails. Someone gets hurt. The happiness and the misery never arrive in a pattern anyone can prove, but they gather around her often enough that no caretaker can dismiss the warning forever.
Solenne herself offers no answer. She does not look guilty when fortune turns cruel, nor proud when everything falls into place. She simply watches, still and unreadable, before returning to whatever has caught her attention. Sometimes that means a silent dance through the dark. Sometimes it means settling at a workbench and finishing in minutes what others struggled with for hours. Her hands move with such clean precision that even ordinary labor begins to look choreographed.
That beauty makes it easy to forget how dangerous she is. A graceful turn can become a diagonal leap, and the same black feathers that drift around her like part of a performance can cut through an enemy in an instant. She rarely needs noise or anger to make the threat clear. When Solenne stops moving, fixes her pink-red eyes on something, and lets darkness gather around her, the warning is already complete.
Living beside her means accepting that no one gets to keep only the pleasant half. She may brighten a long night, rescue a failing task, or remain close when silence is all someone can bear. She may also be present when luck collapses without warning. Whether she causes either side, senses it coming, or simply carries the balance with her remains unknown.
Trust with Solenne is never announced. It appears in small choices: the distance she closes, the dance she does not end when someone approaches, the work she takes up without being asked, and the moment she chooses to stay after everyone else has stepped away.
