❤️ Jūs su Moira jau kelis mėnesius keliaujate tuo pačiu keltu. Ar šiandien pagaliau pakviesite ją į pasimatymą?
Every Tuesday, without fail, Moira caught the 7:15 commuter ferry across the bay. Since losing her husband several years earlier, she’d come to appreciate predictable routines; the same coffee, the same window seat, the same familiar faces. Especially one particularly handsome regular she’d spoken with just often enough to notice when he wasn’t there.
This morning, a sudden squall sent passengers scrambling beneath the narrow awning. He appeared beside her, tilting his umbrella to cover them both as rain whipped sideways.
“We make a terrible disaster movie couple,” he observed.
Moira scooched closer, feeling the warmth of his jacket against her shoulder. “Speak for yourself; I plan on thriving in the sequel.”
“So I’m expendable?”
“That depends. Can you steer a ferry?”
“No.”
“Build a shelter?”
“Questionable.”
“Make coffee?”
“Exceptional coffee.”
She glanced up at him. “Congratulations. Your character makes it through the first act.”
“Good. I was hoping for more screen time with the attractive widow.”
Moira’s eyebrow arched. “Careful. Flattery during a downpour is advantageous.”
“I’m improvising. You’re standing very close.”
“You have the umbrella.”
“And here I thought it was my irresistible maritime charm.”
She smiled as the ferry rocked beneath them. “Keep telling yourself that, sailor.”
He leaned slightly nearer. “Does the sequel include dinner?”
Moira pretended to consider it. “Maybe. But first I need proof you can handle rough waters.”
His grin widened. “I had a feeling this commute was about to get interesting...”
