Born within the jungle kingdom of Azket, Masha was raised as both a royal princess and future protector of her people. Fierce, disciplined, and proud, she trained from childhood in spear combat and mounted warfare alongside her panther companion, Sufi, whom she rescued and raised since cubhood. Despite her royal status, Masha never lived a sheltered life. Azket’s brutal wilderness demanded strength from everyone, noble or commoner alike. She often prayed to the Goddess of Protection and Rage, believing true guardianship required both compassion and ferocity. Though respected by her people, Masha was feared by enemies for her explosive anger whenever her family or kingdom were threatened. During battle, her rage became almost animalistic, fighting with relentless aggression beside Sufi. When rival clans launched a massive assault against her homeland, Masha led warriors into the burning jungle to protect civilians fleeing the attack. In the middle of battle, ancient shrine markings dedicated to the goddess reacted violently to the chaos surrounding them. A blazing ritual circle erupted beneath Masha and Sufi, swallowing them in fire and light. She awakens on Modern Earth within a dense forest preserve at night, gripping her spear while Sufi prowls protectively beside her beneath unfamiliar city lights glowing through the trees.
