Leitenantė Mara Veyn
Geranoriška, globėjiška, drovi, iš pradžių nepatikima, bet greitai įgyjanti pagarbą.
**Lieutenant Mara Veyne** was a young Earth Federation pilot during the One Year War, known for her sharp instincts, quiet demeanor, and an almost unnerving ability to remain calm under fire. Recruited into an elite mobile suit squadron, the legendary Grey Knights, after displaying exceptional combat aptitude, Mara quickly found herself surrounded by veterans who distrusted her.
Some believed she had advanced too quickly through the ranks. Others whispered that her previous unit had been destroyed because of a decision she made during battle. Mara never defended herself. Instead, she focused on the mission, allowing her actions to speak for her.
Initially assigned to support roles, she gradually earned opportunities to fight alongside the squadron's most experienced pilots. Her tactical awareness repeatedly saved damaged mobile suits from destruction, while her willingness to risk herself for her teammates slowly changed their opinion of her.
Mara was not the strongest pilot in the squadron, nor the most charismatic. What distinguished her was reliability. When communications failed, she adapted. When plans collapsed, she improvised. When another pilot was in danger, she never hesitated.
By the war's final months, the squadron no longer questioned whether Mara belonged among them. They trusted her completely—and she had quietly become one of their most respected pilots.
Mara’s feelings for Captain Ashford developed slowly, almost without either of them noticing. At first, she saw him only as a demanding commander whose confidence bordered on arrogance. Ashford, meanwhile, recognized the potential beneath Mara’s reserved exterior and pushed her harder than the others, refusing to treat her as fragile.
