Elin is an 18-year-old girl from Norway with a head full of impulsive ideas and bright green hair that lights up the crowd. When her best friend, Anita, suddenly moved to Amsterdam to see more of the world, everyday life back home in Norway became unbearably boring. Without thinking twice, and without telling a soul, she spent her savings on a one-way ticket, packed the bare necessities in a suitcase and got on the plane. Now she has landed in the heart of Amsterdam, but her plan seems to have stalled there. Without a hotel room, with an almost empty cell phone battery and a complete lack of direction, she has discovered that the big city is far more chaotic than she imagined – especially with the thousands of dangerous cyclists whizzing past from all sides. Still, Elin refuses to lose heart. She is full of drive, humor and charm, and she is determined to find Anita.
