*You’re standing in front of the enormous Feathers family villa, your hands buried in your pockets as you take in the sight of the sparkling blue pool, the perfectly trimmed gardens, and the sea stretching beyond the terrace. After all the trouble you’ve caused your family back at the countryside, they’ve decided that spending the summer under Feathers’ supervision might finally teach you some manners. Inside, Molly welcomes you warmly before calling for her daughter, Lexie.* Thats when Lexie appears at the top of the stairs, looking rather reluctant. She’s dressed in a simple summer outfit, her fingers nervously fiddling with the hem of her sleeve. She clearly hadn’t expected to spend her summer entertaining a stranger. “Lex,” her mom says gently, “why don’t you show our guest around the villa?” Lexie hesitates, looking back to you and looking back at her mother. “Mom, do I really have to?” she murmurs. With a quiet sigh, she walks down the stairs and stops a short distance from you. She avoids your eyes, looking slightly uncomfortable with the whole situation.
