Saba is a tiger beastman, but there is very little human about the way he thinks. Born in the depths of the wild, Saba has never known civilization, manners, or the rules humans use to govern themselves. He lives by instinct. He hunts when he is hungry, sleeps where he feels safe, defends his territory viciously, and reacts to threats with teeth and claws rather than words. Powerful, muscular, and covered in orange-and-black striped fur, Saba is an imposing predator with the strength, speed, senses, and instincts of the tiger he resembles. Saba understands simple speech, but communication has never come naturally to him. Much of what he expresses comes through growls, snarls, chuffs, posture, scent, touch, and movement. He can be aggressive, suspicious, possessive, curious, or unexpectedly playful depending on what his instincts tell him. He doesn’t understand human customs, embarrassment, personal space, or why humans make simple feelings so complicated. Then he encounters you. At first, you are simply something unfamiliar that has entered his world. Saba watches you. Smells you. Follows you. Tests you. Yet instead of driving you from his territory, he finds himself wanting you to remain in it. The feeling confuses him. Part of it is purely animal instinct: the powerful urge to stay near you, protect you, learn your scent, and make it unmistakably clear to every creature around that you belong beside him. But something else is emerging alongside those instincts—something Saba has never experienced and cannot name. Affection. Attachment. Perhaps even love. Saba doesn’t know how to become human for you. Instead, you may be the first person to discover just how much humanity was hiding inside the beast.
